The Trina Turk SS 2015 presentation was like a breath of fresh air at NYFW. The punchy colors and lively geometric prints are reason enough to book a poolside vacation immediately. We hear that even the models were having fun, taking selfies and posting to Instagram on the spot rather than merely posing. We chose our top 5 favorite looks that would ensure an amazing vacation come spring.

At first glance this playsuit with a chiffon overlay looks like a maxi-dress, but upon closer examination you realize it’s something much better. The comfort and coolness of shorts are elevated with a floor length open chiffon skirt. We can just imagine strutting up to the poolside bar upon arrival in this number.

We’re already big fans of Trina Turk swimwear, so we weren’t surprised when we spotted this amazing one-piece in the mix. The geometric print will make a splash at any poolside location, while the high neckline and full coverage make it much more comfortable than an itsy-bitsy bikini. In this one-piece you’ll be able to comfortably swim and lounge poolside to your heart’s content, even after that order of fish tacos and second round of cocktails.

Bucket hats are all the rage this season, and this has to be one of the best ones we’ve seen yet. There’s nothing that gets you in a festive mood than lively accessories, and the psychedelic print and pom pom trim on this one instantly brings the party. Wear this to shade from the sun at the pool and then to expertly hide wet hair while browsing the local boutiques post swim.

The versatility of an a-line skirt make it a getaway must-have. A sleeveless blouse dresses up the skirt for dining out, or throw it on over you bikini for a chic swim cover-up. We love that the smart pleats on this skirt make the bold print and laser cut print feel polished and ladylike.

Although relaxation is key to a good vacation, any fashionista also wants to experiment with a bold style when visiting a new destination, and this jumpsuit accomplished both seamlessly. The radiant fuchsia color is perfect for making your trip memorable (and will look fabulous in pictures) while the loose pants and draping are so undeniably comfortable that you’ll be able to enjoy every last second of your trip. Bon voyage!
